So I was working at a garage sale. Garage sales sort of get on my nerves a lot. Don't even get me started on garage sales! Oh, wait, I'm already on the topic. Sorry, but I must proceed. So, most of the time you have to take time off and put a lot of effort into garage sales. It's kind of sad though because you'll probably make about fifty dollars unless you have a lot of expensive items. If you just have nickle and dime stuff, you're not going to make any money. No one wants to pay anymore than a quarter for anything either, so it's rather difficult. The most annoying thing though is hagglers.
"Will you take four for this?" (five dollar item).
"Sure," said reluctantly.
What do they do now? They hand you a five dollar bill.
*$(#(%*(^#*!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That is what I think of you, sir.
Seriously, like, if you don't like the price, don't buy it. It's one thing if you only have four dollars, it's completely different if you're just being cheap and a jerk.
Another annoying thing about garage sales is when people come in and literally look around for five seconds. Why did you even come in?!?!?!?!
Also it's annoying when people buy the stuff you sort of didn't want them to buy, and nobody buys the stuff you want them to buy even though it's priced dirt cheap.
Ugh, I could go on about garage sales forever...but I shall move on...in a moment.
But I don't want to leave garage sales hanging on a bad note. You can actually find some pretty cool stuff on them, sometimes for good prices, and see some really interesting people and observe garages. You get a tiny glimpse into the life of a total stranger...okay, yeah, that's sort of creepy, but interesting. You can't help but wondering how people got stuff, why they had it in the first place, and what they did with it.
